Xoliul Shader not working..

Can anyone help me out with uninstalling the Xoliul shader? It doesnt work, and I cant RTT in max because an error message from Xoliul shader keeps popping up. Quite frustrating.

Here's the error I keep getting after only hitting "0" to bring up the render to texture dialog.

Ok, I uninstalled and reinstalled max and now my RTT wont work at all. I have my highpoly, and lowpoly model in the scene, with projection mapping on and I want to render lightingmap, complete map and diffuse map and when I hit "render" NOTHING happens.

Have you selected your renderer, Because in the image it hasnt been selected.

Did you know how to use RTT before this problem?

Show us your RTT dialog and that would help us more.

I fixed it, I found out that TexTools sometimes changes a tiny setting in your UVW that messes it up. I was told to make a box, attach my low poly model to it, then delete the vertices from the box and then bake the maps. It sounded silly but it worked.

Ok can anybody help me out here. Still confused as to why this just wont work..
Ive placed the .fx files for xoliul's shader in the 3dsmax201/maps/fx folder where all the rest of the shaders are and whenever I load it, this happens...



Am I doing something wrong here?????????????

That's not how you are supposed to load the shader (assuming you are using his 2.0 shader, and not an older version).

If you are using the newer one, then look at this to install it: XoliulShader 2 Video 1 - UI101 - YouTube

Also make sure you are using DirectX.

It's version 1.6

Also, in the material editor I click "Standard" select "DirectX Shader" and Load the files..

Why not just get 2.0? It's much better.

well when I use version 2, there's white boxes where the textures should be and I cant place my own textures in ...
This is why I thought Id use an older version but nope. This isnt working..

Also, Ive rebooted my system many times, uninstalled/reinstalled 3ds max about 4 times..
still nothing.
