Normals' display issue on 3ds MAX

I'm trying to set up the reference images of this HTC i'm trying to model. The normals of the back side of the planes should be invisible, but in my case they are black. I wasted a lot of time trying to figure out myself how to make them invisible, but I couldn't find it. I wasted even more time searching on it on the internet, so you guys are my last hope. I hope it's just something silly that i didn't notice. I'm adding this picture to make things more clear

Thanks in advance.

Edit:
Solved the problem. I selected the option from the materual drop menu "Hardware and maps". Please delete this thread. thx.

Right mousebutton on the object ---> Object properties
Then make sure that the button under Display properties is set to By Object.
Then check the "Backface cull" checker.
