UDK Dynamic Lighting
In udk I know that for static meshes you have to make a light map.
What about an object that moves in the game? Does it still need a lightmap? I'm trying to take pretty screenshots of a model and the dynamic lighting that i get in the viewport looks great, but after I bake looks like crap, now I know this is normal. But how do I get my results in game to match the beauty I see in my viewport? From what I understand a model is either vertex lit or has a lightmap, so if I have a model that I want dynamically lit, it will always use vertex lighting? ![]()

You can change the lights to "dynamic" by clicking a checkbox in the channel settings of the light's properties.

If you want an object to be non-static you have to place in down as an InterpActor
If you look at the UDK release notes there is a few resources on these. They do take some playing with to get to be lit correctly I have found btw
