Mini gun problem.
Hello folks,
I've got a question about a mesh I'm making atm. I'm stuck on how to cut holes in a mesh but keeping it fully quad (well, I need to be able to use it as a high res aswell later on) I've tried (pro)boolean but I'm not a fan of that. ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting thanks in advance. |

As long as its a flat surface, like what you have here, you don't need to keep it all in quads. All you need is a supporting edge loop around the edges that change the angle to keep the smoothing uniform.
