3ds Max > CryEngine 3 export // Degenerate faces problem
So I'm trying to export a model from 3ds Max (2012) to the CryEngine 3. This is my first time, so checked out some tutorials. When I'm clicking "Export Nodes", I always get the error:
Node [name object] has [x faces] degenerate faces at the following locations: [lots of locations]. After that the export fails, and I don't know what to do... Anyone a solution? |

When I select the degenerated faces, it is ~75% of my model, so deleting is not realy an option...
Think I've solved it though. The model had a good scale in max - about 1 metre. In CryEngine though, it was like, a milimetre. After scaling it 100 times the size, it tells me again that there are some degenerate faces, but it exports anyway, model doesn't seem to be broken in CryEngine, so I'm happy with that now ![]() Only question remains, what are degenerate faces? For what i understand, they are too small faces, what explains the trouble with the way too small model... Is that right? |
