3ds max scaling/clipping issue

Hi, im a Maya user but am in the process of learning 3ds max.
I've come across a problem thats bugging the hell out of me.

What i have is a low polymodel that's quite small in scale, i'm modelling around a higher poly model, when i zoom in, the viewport clipping kicks in and parts of the model disappear, so i cant work on the small details.
What i need to do is scale up both my low poly and high poly, work on the small details and scale it back down.

In maya there are multiple solutions to this;
The first and most obvious would be to increase the near clip in the camera attributes.

The second would be to freeze transformations on the low and high poly, scale up the model, work on it and then scale it back.

The third would be to put both the low and high poly models into a group, scale up the group, work on the model, return the group back to its default size and ungrouping. Personally i would use this method to retain the original scale values on the low and high poly models.

Is there a way of doing any of the above in 3ds max?

Thanks

You can do all of those in Max.

1: Rightclick on the Viewport Lable > Viewport Clipping

2: Reset XForm > Collapse then you can scale them up, work on them and then scale them back down to 100%

3: CTRL + G > Scale

Or, if you want to avoid all of those, you can rescale the Scene (Utilities > Rescale World Units).

Thanks Piflik, your last solution seems to work the best.

With the second method you posted, i managed to reset xform but each of the low and high res models have their own pivot point, so when i scale up they dont line up. Is there a way to line up all the models pivot points to be at the same point?

You can select all objects, go to the Hierarchy Tab, click on Affect Pivot Only and then Move them to a certain location, e.g. you can alígn the pivots of all but one objects to the remaining one (Alt + A).
