UVW Map modifier problem
Hi there! Been using MAX for a few years now but have been absent from modeling for a while. I decided to upgrade my max to 2010 and get back into it but have ran into what I think is a problem with my UVW map modifier settings. Not sure, tried the UV options but all the settings seem correct.
![]() The uv map itself looks nothing like how I remember it in older versions, I cannot remember the visibility of the UV map view as bad as this. I think I remember the lines to be white and seams to be green. Like this... ![]() BUT as you can see in my pic my line colour is set to 'white' so why are they a grey colour making it very difficult to work with. Help would be great thanks. ![]() |

In newer Versions of Max (I think since 2010) the Objects have the same Wirecolor in the UV Editor as in the Viewport,so it is easier to differentiate between multiple Objects, if you used one Unwrap Modifier for more than one object...incredibly stupid, and I have no idea if that can be disabled...luckily I still use 2008

You my friend are a godsend! Nah, I dont normally use one modifier for the whole object, I just did that for the example. Seems autodesk like to annoy us by changing stuff, had a problem with the old 'dx display of standard materials' moving from the materials editor, THAT is very annoying and has bugged me for a while! lukily I resolved that. Not good for encouraging people to upgrade if they keep changing simple functions we have gotten used to.
Thanks for the help anyway. *Changes object wire colour to white* |
