3dmax keyboard shortcut override.

3dsmax main standard shortcuts including my own custom shortcuts are not working, that includes ctrl-z, ctrl-x isolation mode.

I'm using 3dsmax 9.
-Previous solutios include toggling keyboard shortcut override didn't work.
-deleting the UI folder didn't work
-reinstalling 3dsmax 9 didn't work.

I am out of solutions, if you can figure this out, you're a genius.

Dont they work in all occasions? or just when using a edit poly modifier for instance? And you do have all the service packs installed?
