Simple Kismet sequence for Lightning Effect.
Hey, I'm trying to set up a kismet sequence for a thunderstorm that causes a lightning flash at random intervals. I have manage to make the lighting work with a simple toggle light and matinee sequence. At the moment I am using a delay, and I tried connecting the sound effect back around into the start of the delay, but it won't play through a second time.
Basically what I am trying to achieve is a delay that is a random length of time between playing the matinee sequence... My kismet knowledge is lacking at the moment... |

Hey, just use a random float for that delay and it should work as you want.

once the sound is compleated, you can put compleat -> start delay. and it will loop endlessly. Also, dont forget to put level reset on start delay aswell. Otherwise it wont have thunder next round.

you could also toggle on and off a postproces volume with extreme white values and contrast to enhance the effect even more.
Edit: And you could use a random float value beneath the delay to randomize the effect Last edited by sjaak; 08-02-2010 at 07:03 PM. |
