Exclamation tutorial request for Source hlf2

Hey there!
I was wondering how to export a character for Source.
So googling the internet I have found some tutorials about props, but they where a little bit confusing.
Any ideas?

Cheers!

Autodesk Softimage Mod Tool has an export plug-in for source

Getting it into there and then exporting is probably your best bet

Whoa that was fast!
thanks for the info guys!
But i have a little problem, I'm using 3dmax, it seems to be more easier to export from xsi to source.
But how i can do it from Max?

But there is some clear info for Max to export?

I have installed the plug-in (for max), the source sdk and so.
Even I reached to replace some code info in txt, but i cant get the thing working!

Any help it's welcome!

You need to tag you character to the valve rig then export it as an reference smd. This should allow you to use the default animations. Then it is just a matter of writing the .qc file.

Getting stuff into source can be complicated on your first attempt, I recommend searching forums and the internet, as well as youtube as it typically has a lot of source tutorials based on import and export. You need to be resourceful as you will probably fail if your not, especially with the source engine which is much less user friendly than UnrealEngine or CryEngine

Could you please elaborate on this? I'm attempting to get a model working with the default rig and animations, I'm unsure wot the process of 'tagging' involves
