[Character] Eminem

Ok been way to long since I actually posted something here.

Here is an Eminem character I wanted to do for a long time, and I tried doing before but failed.



This is the current state of the model, lowpoly build and everything baked down.
Only thing I put some actual work in, texture wise, are the jeans which I textured from scratch (no photo's all hand made), the eyes, the shoes and a start of the specular on the jacket.
Rest of the texture is polypaint baked down.

Having some trouble getting the hair right but hope to get that fixed soon, hope anyone has some tips, might try handpainting it, but no expert on that, any tips would be much appreciated.

Dont have a shot of my zbrush sculpt right now (on vacation and about 3500 miles aan from home) , but with hair the likeness is there, or so I've been told by a couple of people.

Will try posting up a shot of my sculpt.

but cant really see his face to make a judgment of resemblans.

Back in 2003 there was a game called DEVESTATION:
and was published by groove games, at that time I knew the producer from the publisher and had a chance to ask him and say "hey that kinda looks like emenim" I was told that was intentional...and so that story goes. so far a commercial attempt in a game that is the only other rendition of an enemem type character in a game.

But hey TheDarkNightNL, that final sculpt you have there looks visually quite convincing and well done. The one in the jacket does not, reminds me of Hitman agent 47. still nice work.

To make characters actually look like their intended subjects takes talant,patience and skill.

That sculpt does look really good but at immediate glance, that doesn't really look like Eminem. Kind of looks like a bald Sam Fisher.

I found this on his twitter page if this helps at all.



Other than that and a few awkward wrinkles in the jeans, whether or not it does look like him, the sculpt has good anatomy to me. So either way, good job!

Thanks to the both of you, yea it's not a 100% likeness, was pretty pleased with my result though, could probably go and tweak the sculpt for ages, but figured it was time to move on. I hope when I give him some hair the likeness returns abit more.

from the front it kinda looks like Eminem but theres something not quite right. and the side shot doesnt look anything like him sorry to say Have you tried overlaying the pictures with your renders in photoshop to see the differences in proportions and shape?
