Thanks man, probably the best tute I have ever seen for hard surface texturing. Loved the 50 cent stuff lol.

Thanks for sharing, I found this quite helpful, we could use a texture guy like yourself on our projects... http://www.game-artist.net/forums/hiring-mods-volunteers/9285-aero-astro-arts-swarm-ut3-tc-mod-team-looking-coders-level-designers-animator.html

Thumbs up

Loved this Tut, texturing is by far the weakest part of my game! So bad for just smacking photos over my UV's and hoping for the best, so thank you for your tips! Better get my paint on.

Awesome tut, and thanks for the brushes.
I've tried downloading this with flv, and it didn't end up playing.
Racer are you still going to compile that video for download?

Very informative video, thanks for sharing.

I do have a question though. Near the beginning you used a "colored" layer where certain sections of the crate have a uniform color applied to them. I believe it was the background layer, and I don't think that you explicitly mentioned it in the tutorial. Anyway, what do you use this for? Is it just a way to see where you are doing your edging?

Thanks again.

It was good to see someone elses workflow, and while that really showed me a myriad of things I never knew about pedoshop (I'm a GIMP noob) I would love to see how you unwrapped it as well. Any chance of showing a few pictures with the seams visible? Top notch work, I didn't know you worked on Fof either, I play that .

Eventually I plan on uploading the video for direct download, but right now I can't upload another 700mb video.

If it was the black and white layer, that was for selecting certain parts of the uv easily, if it was the multicolored one, that was the UV map from texporter.

Yeah I meant the multicolored one. Does texporter automatically color the areas like that? Is using texporter better than just rendering out the UV template directly in max?
