I made a start on the vids again today! woot. I need to do around two more texturing videos. I will warn you tho, I have not made a tutorial for the whole process of texturing the weapon because i feel it would just take far long to make and two long to view. What i have done are a few parts focusing on a)unwrapping b)texturing metal c)texturing plastic and probley a final second on specular maps and finishing touches.

Chapter 3 though will not focus on compiling as it will be about the rigging and animation. Chapter 4 will perhaps be getting the animations ready and compiled. So there is a little way to go yet.

Also, post up your finished models in this thread to get feedback on your progress!

Man that texture part should be a quick run through. So many tutorials for making metal and unwrapping and hardly any if none about getting a weapon in source/compiling

great tut! cant wait for the next half (or quarter, or eighth or sixteenth...) ! the first tut that tells me everything i dont know.

heres how mines coming along

its being modeled on a BB gun i got a few years back...i should have stuck to something a little simpler, but oh well...im leaving out quite alot.
its still a bit messy in places, and im slowly cleaning it all up before the next tut starts!
