Tutorial: Exporting Qualified Normals from 3ds Max
Tutorial: Exporting Qualified Normals from 3ds Max
I wrote this up for 3dmotive a few weeks ago and thought there might be some unreal developers on here who could use it. Basically, it's a method to improve normal map shading on objects imported to unreal as static meshes. You can apply this to a maya pipeline as well- just skip all the parts about qualified normals. ![]() |
