I have a SM 2.0 Card BAH! I can't use Doylle's shader...
Anyway to get it working on a sm2.0 or are there any other shaders that can? So where not allowed to just use the Scaline default render to render the entry? I won't be able to enter anything if I just have the diffuse working o_0. |

I know the contest is over, but here is my entry anyways. =P
First off, thanks to Doylle for that sweet shader he posted. Reminds me a lot of another shader I use and I like his better! Anyways... I started off by getting a few shots of other Altars for some reference, then headed to CG textures and gathered some good base materials. Concrete, stone, rocks, ground etc. After that, I baked a quick AO map and started to texture. After the base materials were in place I took the diffuse and converted it to a black and white image. Then I took that image and painted out certain details like cracks, and bumps. White for up, black for down. I took that image into crazy bump and made a NM from it. After the normal map was done I went back into my diffuse and painted some more AO and details here and there. That way, the grime and AO would not affect the NM. Finally I brought my Black and white diffuse into PS, dupped it and added a multiply layer, blending it together, to make my spec map. I would have spent more time on that, but time was a constraint at that point. So all in all 3 - 1024 textures, diffuse, normal and spec. After the texturing was complete I lighted the scene with 3 omnis. I ended up liking two results so I took screenshots of them both. Thanks again for the unwrapped model. I enjoyed texturing it =) Below are the results. ![]() ![]() |
