The one of your choice, got the finished one, or if you'd rather add buttons/whatever with the texture, go for the one without those.

allow me to kick it off.

I wanted to do this super fast so was aiming for less than an hour..this took about 50 minutes,
I remapped the screen & made a basic tv noise texture using a preset in after effects,in Cryengine2 I used the Oscillator option to continuously pan through the image,here's a video of the screen in action

& the final,rendered in cryengine2..somewhere in the harbour level




using a flood fill of some cheesy wood grain from cgtextures,I then hand painted details like speakers,scratches,coffee stains.normal map in crazybump,spec & reflection mask.I used a cube map for reflection in ce2 but you cant really tell under the interior lighting.

Nice job again Stefan!
I just took a closer look at the computers in Fallout 3. Too bad there isn't an SDK out yet. Will probably use leadwerks to render. Lets start and try to finish before dinner

Nice work! Is that a first in a STC: animated texture? Really cool . How does that oscilate function work, does it scan over a larger secundary diffuse map in a particular way?

hey guys
good thing with the oscillater is it only uses one image rather than a sequence of images,it's easy to setup & has lots of possible variations:

There, 90 minutes. Rendered in Leadwerks 2.0 in the underground level. For some reason it didn't want to cast shadows...

Stefan: Thanks for kicking it off, were gonna do it myself, but as I were working on it both the GA and CG-textures seemd to have a server restart or something. Well done entry too, given the time you worked on it, won't go into crits right now, kinda air-headed here

Sorry for the messy presentation, couldn't bother. And ye, kinda awkward, I didn't finish it, ran out of time, and I'm supposed to be the onw who run these challenges
