STC#18 - June 21 - June 28 - Hands

Notes:

- To stimulate you to record and post your texturing work, we give everybody that submits a video of his/her workflow 5 extra votes in the poll, as a reward.

- Big thanks to Baida for giving us his hand model that he made for last weeks SMC, not to mention that he unwrapped it too. Very much appreciated!

- Requiem2D wrote some very useful guidelines on texturing a hand. You might want to have a look at his tutorial before you start with your texture...

don't count views as downloads, or entries. Some of these stalkers just want your models.

:)

Well, not me. I had a couple of free hours today, so here's my attempt!
This is actually my first entry into STC, but I had fun doing it anyway. No video though... I'm not THAT confident!
I used maya,Zbrush,Xnormal.
Good luck to everyone else!

if i took this model into Zbrush and sculpted it up BEFORE texturing, would that count in the time? and is it possible to adjust the vertcie position, just as long as i don't add any geometry or anything like that?

being able to do that, is a lot closer to working in actual production on a tight texturing deadline.

Zbrush implies creating a normal map, i.e. texturing (so yes it does count towards time). No altering of the mesh either, not even a vert.

Hey there here is my fast entry:

I quickly made an human skin texture and then added some highlight to it and a tatoo. Also created some veins. Then I took a leatherish texture and put some highlight on it and an edge. Added some nails, hair and some more small details.
