Hey all.

This is my first texture comp and was a bit of a last min rush to get this done but enjoyed doing it.
I went for a bit of a bit of a terminator type theme with the arm cut open exposing a metal skeleton to make it a bit more interesting.
I wanted to hand paint as much of the texture as pos which gave me a good chance to use some of the many brush types I have made and collected over the years.
I did use a bit of photo ref for the tops of the figures and the metal but thats all and they were heavily painted over.
No ZBrushing for me as basically I don't know it well enough yet and would never have been finished in time. I could easily have gone on and on with more time as it was.

Anyway, Hope you like the smaller details like the broken stitches, the ID bar code on the hand and the Gekko tattoo etc, (well it had to be done)

Cheers

Nice entry you can really see that the 120 mins were used well in this piece.

Hi all,

Glad that some of you have found the vids interesting!

Funkdelic - Thanks very much!

Sentientv2 - Thanks also. As for the image lattice warp in zbrush, its a plugin I found. Its called imageplane and can be downloaded from here...
ZBrushCentral - Image Plane 3 - plugin upgrade

Has a few 'bugs', could just be cause I dont quite know how to use it properly, but it is useful for quickly texturing characters. The same thing can be dne with out the plugin or by using the zlinkapp and doing similar things in photoshop with the liquify function.
Hope that helps!

mactaveous - pleased that you like it.

phaselocked - Thanks, erm, not as far as i know. I am hoping to have my very own site some time soon, ish. So if I improve it and post a downloadable version i'll let you know.

like the work Gekko, love the Terminator ref!

anyway thanks again.
Chris
