hey guys!
this is my first participation in a speed texturing contest! im glad to join your ranks of very talented people! every thing here is amazing! the first thing that came to me when I saw the topic was TUROK because it just got out and looks like a fun game! I went to the official website, stole a bunch of pics, photoshoped, clone stamped, detailed some stuff and there you go I didnt had time to do other maps than diffuse, im really slow and these challenges are made for me! ![]() ![]() maps : http://www.rufke.com/textures/arcade/texture_final.jpg |

First Attempt
Hey all,
So this is also my first speed texturing attempt! Hope you all dig it ![]() I went with an old old pacman machine... basiclly something you would find lurking in the back of the arcade, kinda disregarded, etc. But been hooked up and cleaned off a bit and plugged in again!!! So basically started with my occlusion map, then got going on the screen! I wanted my screen to have at least a little bit of life, highlights etc... sorta feel like I achieved that ![]() Then I moved onto laying down details like signs, graffiti (as if some kids got in the back and did their thing), scuff marks from old age to much moving & loads of feet kicking it at the bottom!!! Alright, thought I should enter.
First off, my idea was to make a resident evil 4 texture for it, but quickly lost intrest of that b/c I couldent quite nail just what I was going for, so I though COD4 would be a good idea. Urban warfare = urban/grunge texture, which is always fun to make! ![]() So I went off making the base metal for it w/ some grunge and overlapped it again to make it stand out. Then I googled some cod4 images to use as decoration and ingame screen. Then I just messed about with my normal workflow to get it to look like I wanted. I didnt go all in with the green tone which is mostly referenced to COD4, but also a blue tone for the first mission in the game, which is also the decoration. So I'm happy with the results and hope you like it too ![]() ![]() Diffuse: ![]() Spec: ![]() Normal: ![]() Didnt really need the normal tbh, but I didnt want to render once more :P |

Killer Instinct
Ok so this is my 2nd entry and my 1st comp that I've entered in, I went with Killer Instinct as my entry. This time I add another map instead of just diffuse, so here ya go... If I had more time I would've like to have done another entry....Double Dragon or Battletoads. This comp is FUN! I used a bunch of google pix, made the coin slot box with layer effects and the rest was just a couple of filters blur,noise,clouds. Orrin Hogan 79 Min. Diffuse and Self Illumination.
