Note:
- You only have to texture one of the two shield for each entry.

- I'll try to make a whole set of shiels, so that you can pick one you like every time we have this theme. If anybody wants to help out then feel free to send in your shield model. Thank you!

This is my first ever go at a speed challenge thing, so I dunno if it's 100% right.

So much for speed texturing, I was well slow at this, and so didn't get round to finishing it within the 90 minutes, though that's what the speed modeling texturing's for, so hopefully I'll get faster the more I do. The front's not so bad, but I didn't really make a start on the back, oh well.



And here's the texture




I started off baking the texture map out, then added the base colours. Found nice plastic texture and overlayed and ammended that, same for the windows. Then I added the text, then painted on the scratches and generally tarted it up.

Craig, incredible use of non-UV areas

But, yes, you're right on track with your post, nice first entry too! I believe the 2 slots are usually used for lights if you were wondering. Nice work!

Yeah, I didn't have a clue what those things were. I googled riot shield but couldn't find anything with those bits on. I guessed they were probably reflectors or something, but didn't get round to doing them.
