STC#5 - December 23 - December 30 - Human Face Texture

Additional notes:
- For this STC you must use the base mesh that is provided by GA.net in order to make a valid submission. You're not allowed to make any modifications to the base mesh. The UV map is the only thing that you are allowed to change.
- Special thanks to Alchemist101 for providing the mesh!

I've never manage to model/unwrap a face correctly so this is a great chance for me this should be fun!

Hi there snipergen, good to see you around . Gimme a yell when you see me, I'll be happy to help out where I can...

@Surfing Spartan: I'm not sure why you're giving up there m8, I think you took a good start. With 140 minutes left i'm sure you have alot that you can add though...

I didn't too, until now (I'm speaking of unwrapping). I learned it at school: it's pelt unwrapping. Heres a good tutorial and you only have to watch the first 2 minutes where they do it in 10 seconds

YouTube - Pelt Mapping Tutorial - 3DSMAX

Here's my quick test (60 minutes). Have to use other "hair" brushes and make the eyes etc etc... well see.

And doylle thanks man I know I can learn alot from you! But I promise not to bother you all the time

*MAP*

Step 1
Step 2
Step 3
Step 4

Think I might have another go at this one. Since this was my first try at texturing organics I spent a lot of time with trial and error stuff. Eye's a bit messed up since I forgot I had to do it until I only had about 10 minutes left.

my entry

Let me clarify on this guy so my concept is understood. He's supposed to look like a retarded teenager, that's my end goal on this one. I appreciate the critique, but I like his eyebrows to look as fugly as possible.

All painted in photoshop, several layers, no reference. Color is now desaturated and no longer orange. Any more red and he'll be a sunburn victim. I went back in and made changes since I was still under time.

Also, it's kind of annoying that the upload thing on site won't take 1024 images. Everytime I tried to upload those it would fail so I had to use 900x900.

So, are we allowed to use 1024² this time?
