Speed Texturing Competition 2: 007: Punk Firearms

We've got a surprise for you! For this competition, we're going to do something a little different and allow you to choose a model to texture! You have five awesome weapons to choose from, including the last SMC winner, Oniram!

Choose wisely, because in addition to your texture, your chosen model will affect voting as well

Everyone feel free to post your WIPs here in this thread.
Also, feel free to share reference links and other useful information with your fellow artists.

These comps are not just about fame and glory, but also about progressing as an artist while networking in a friendly competitive setting. At any rate, have fun and try something new!

Ready?........
GO!

Hmm, it's early in the comp, but I need to have parts of my final done for my animation class. Hopefully I'll have time for both!

This is a great idea! Also this is my first competition and I'm loving it! Although I've kinda gotten stuck on my project.

I sometimes feel like it's done but other times I feel its not complete:

Anyone have any ideas for me?

Looking good, but you have wear on the red part near the front, and all the white looks pretty clean/untouched. Maybe more wear overall and dirty/gritty parts of like finger prints and such.

@dreadsnipa - Looking good so far. There are still lots of things you could do, though. First, you never credited your model's artist like the rules state. A simple text overlay in Photoshop takes only seconds With the texture, I believe you could explore more colors in the inner-parts to add depth to the two-toned look. Think about the brand of weapon, the serial number, and other specifics to this gun.

Keep it up! Cheers
