Speed Texturing Competition 2: 006: Modular Wall
Let's boogie!
![]() Have Fun! Everyone feel free to post your WIPs here in this thread Yes, this is a competition, and I know everyone wants others to be surprised by their awesome texture come voting time, but posting WIPs is also a great way to learn new things. These comps are not just about fame and glory, but also about progressing as an artist while networking in a friendly competitive setting ![]() At any rate, have fun and try something new! Cheers ![]()

I might give this one a go. First time doing a speed texturing comp, so can I just ask about the rules... Am I correct in saying we change ALL maps not just the diffuse?

Yes, you are free to edit and/or create all the maps you need. As long as you don't alter the 3 models themselves, it's all good.

I wanted to give this a shot but is there a possibility I'm doing something wrong when importing the obj's? cause some of the pieces at least on the corner seem to have been offset a little bit, also the seams don't seem to match up. I guess something similar has happend to the UV's.
anybody an idea?

Sure!
I used xNormal to bake the normal and the ao. At the beginning, there where some minor artifacts, I didn't know why. I didn't want to arrange them on Photoshop so I tried something else. Here's what I made: Render size at 1024 x 1024 with a 4X anti-aliasing. It tooks around 10 minutes of waiting but it's worth the effort. ![]() |
