STC #2 - Indavisual

Here's a 3 hour progress post. Not much to see yet. Still have to put my base textures in. I have everything separated by color and I ran a few tests for a few things. I've got a glow map started for the spyglass where light would shine through the scope. And I got an alpha map started for my fringed duct tape. I also have an ambient occlusion pass on it.

Question: I am having trouble getting an occlusion bake that reads off of my alpha map. I would like my fringed tape to have a fringed AO shadow as opposed to a hard black line at the end of the poly. Can anyone help me out with this?

I am. I just didn't post screen shots with it turned on. I was just wondering if we had to use that normal map or not.

6 hour progress shots. Don't pay any attention to the texture that looks like skin. I was just trying some things out. I added a lens over the scope for some more convex highlights. I also added a bullet with a window into the action of the gun.
