STC#4 - Interior Wall Textures - Vote Closed

My vote goes for pantsburg's first entry.

His was the most coherent texture and one that lends itself well to repetition (although minotaur0's comes in a close second). Most others had a lot of gratuitous damage that looked quite pieced together from very different sources.

buddy gets my vote, i really like the bubly old wallpaper, it doesnt show to well but very nice work.

I had a really hard time deciding between buddy and Minotaur0, I eventually voted for Minotaur0. What a close and great competition!

Minotaur0 had my vote. It was the only one that looked clean to me.

Sorry dude, I totally missed the max texture size thing. I guess I fail at reading directions. If someone had pointed that out earlier I'd have reposted them at 512. :P

Reading instructions/rules is a part of every competition and everyone should take note. Not that this is as important as a job interview or filling out an application somewhere but not reading the instructions carefully can be a bad thing. Honestly, how long can it take to read all of the 60 words in the rules.

Funny thing is, you'd be surprised how many people don't carefully read instructions. The best example of this was at a gun range I frequent, so many people failed to fill out the form properly because they didn't read all the way through it, seems kind of important to read all the rules at a gun range right? lol I digress, back to the votes. ;-)

Voted for Stormy because I really like how it looks. It might not be the best wall texture for tiling but thats not what this comp was about. Good luck to everyone who entered, many excellent entries this time.

Well, Stormy's texture isn't really interior Imho which means it doesn't fit the theme but it looks like it might win.

I voted for buddy, nice work on the wall/wall paper transition. its very convincing. Good work all round, it was hard to choose in the end but that work on the paper is what stood out to me.

Are you sure about that? There are many interior walls that are brick covered with stucco and Stormy's is one that has deteriorated from age or whatever. I see what you are saying but his texture could definitely be considered an interior wall.
