Some of the worst texturing I've done in a long time. Made a total mess of this.

Let that be a lesson to you - never start something without a concept or reference. And speed texturing hand-painted realistic textures is possibly foolish, too. That's my how-to :P

I'll put the video up tomorrow morning for a how-not-to :P *edit;
HOW NOT TO SPEEDTEXTURE (quicktime, 23mb)

Cool Awesome stuff folks!

For someone still learning their left from their right, I think showing us step by step how these cool projects are done is priceless. Please, keep up the good work and if someone could, would you please explain "normal maps" and how I can work with these on Maya? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks a lot! You guys kick "creative" ass!

Not bad meckanism, but the dirty door is more shiny than the clean door, which seems a little odd.

you have a point there Talon, i guess i wanted it to have a radioactive look or perhaps some white blooming wood fungus of some sort. But anyways i exaggerated on the spec map i always forget to do a reality check on my textures. Thanks for the c&c
