I liked Midwinterdreams' for their ethereal look and presentation
I liked Latinmessiah's because the tree looked like petrified wood on top, pretty sweet
I liked Mdale13's for the beautiful use of color, the moss texture, and the detailed norm map

I voted for PIX (first entry) for the extra effort with the detail

Mdale aswell. From looking at his maps, he seems to know what he's doing. And the end result looks the best.
