Kingin: some more feeback.
The placement of the ears should be behind the horns. http://www.everythingexmoor.org.uk/i...es/reddeer.jpg maybe bigger ears too. His neck going straight up I dont think works, I would try slanting it, this should make it a bit more natural (also adding a bit of his back/shoulders might help). The back of his head leads more into his neck. I think his snout needs to be longer The throat looks quite bulgy I woud thin that down. Paint over: ![]()

I agree w Swigglesworth in that I think adding the point where the neck meets the shoulders would add a lot of depth to this sculpt, and I think you could do it rather quickly by adding volume to the base.
Also, I preferred the look w the closed mouth (unless you plan on animating the mouth later or something). Opening the mouth to get the shapes right on the lips, then closing it later, still sounds like a wise idea though. Deadline is getting closer, everyone! Have fun and good luck on the final push! ![]()

Welcome! I think it depends. Are you talking about using an alpha map attached to the final model or using an alpha as a sculpting mask in an app like ZBrush?

I thought about using it as a mask for a brush in Zbrush...
But it would be one generated from a model I would make within these 4 hours... So from my understanding of speed sculpting that doesn't collide with the definition of speed sculpting... What do you guys think? ![]() |

![]() I finally got some time for this =) I'm liking how it's turning out. MrN, thanks! yes, I'm working on zbrush now. I haven't sculpt in a lot of time... I think it's two years since last time I turned zbrush on I'm glad to see I remember most of things 8D!! I guess I'm going to have some problems with textures... but I still have some time to finish this... any advice? |

nisaza: Great stuff you've picked out his features well. The only thing I can see that is maybe his teeth are a bit small.
