I'm going to have to go with zanman on this one. Sharks belong to the class of fish, Chondrichthyes. Also, Sharks move their fins from side to side instead of up and down like dolphins. But it's still a good model.

the topology of your model looks fine but the fins are way to big even for a great white. the mouth needs to be more pointy with a lot more teeth. thats my two cents.

@anim-dude
My crit: find a referance - There are some pretty obvious flaws with the anatomy of the animal. The back fin is horizontal when it should be vertical, the front fins curve forwards and are placed too far forwards, the mouth is far to small and too high up etc.

Use your time a bit more - there's no point making something in 10mins and calling it done if you can still put mroe time into it and make it better.

Try modeling without subsurf 1st - some points on your shark have almost 90 degree drop offs and it's pretty clear that you've had subsurf on since the beggining. When using SS as a modeling tool try and block it out properly 1st and make sure to keep reverting back to the non SS model to look for nasties. They also put creasing in there for a purpose

Sorry if this seems a bit OTT this is just what I think you could do to improve your model, if you have any crits on my rather incomplete model i'd be very appreciative of them.

good luck and hope they allow you to enter

ah ok, the text font wasn't very easy for me to read at reduced size, but that still left you with 50mins that you definatly could have used.
