Heres mine the majority of the polys come from the cables. This would normally be attached to a big robots hand the cables would then plug into his arm and that's were it would get its energy from. I didn't model the robot hand because this was a sentry gun competition not robot hand competition.

Phew, finally found the time and energy to participate again.
![]() I mostly used cylinder primitives (pretty obvious I should think). Lots and lots of beveling/extruding bridging and chamfering. Just generally playing around with those 4 techniques and having fun with different shapes (pretty obvious too, hehe). I used the 3ds max std material, but I used some light sources to get some shading on the model or else non of the details were visible (the rules didnt say anything about it, hope its ok...) Looking forward to seeing what you guys cook up ![]()

Hehe, its my own improvised design. Designed around mechanichal functionality and just playing with shapes while I went along. it has a recoil system, counterweight on the back, and several axis for a relative large freedom of movement.
The "fuse" on top is was intended to be a radio antenna :P guess - I should have used the last couple of minutes on stuff like that ![]()

I can sure do that
amazingly I have some spare time right now so I was thinking of making another sentry gun in the same style, but I guess I just as well could make a some animations for this one...
