Feld got my vote, original for not going with a combat type heli, doing it in less than 90 minutes and including an interior is great. Other entries are strong too, was tempted to give Mchuge my vote as the topology of the body of his chopper seems really good, sadly the rotor blades are too thick imo and pivot point seems to be attached to the body so it doesnt seem like it would spin well. Perfect Storm's heli is looking good too. Close one
. Gratz all. |

Perfect Storm took my vote on this one. Derned tough to choose. A lot of fun stuff came out of this one!
Jimmy, I confess the last half hour of my comp was a mad dash to get through all the details I let lag behind as I got lost in some other fiddly bit of modeling business. Some suffering of quality occurred. Ah well, that was the point of doing this comp for me, to get more efficient at the craft. Jimmy, could you elaborate on what you were referring to about the pivot point? The propellers are attached to that housing/box on top. separate from the main body of the heli. Perhaps I didn't suggest that well enough... |
