Hi everyone, i've been following these comps for a while and finally decided to get in on this one. I'm still practicing to getting faster, as I ran out of time pretty quickly it seemed like. Also need to work on cutting down on unnecessary polys, of which I had tons of this time.

My entry is a WW2 Haversack and M1 Garand Ammo. Not very original i'll grant, but i'll try and do something more creative for a second entry or the next modeling challenge.

You can include it if you want to, but you must include a picture in your post. You couldnt expect everyone to have to download your model and open it up before deciding who to vote for.

Nailgun. You can't beat the fun you can create with one...

Since this one was so basic, it only took 40 mins... Poly count in screenshot, but if you can't see, it's: 5970. Most of them are the actual nails, which are 8-sided cylinders...

just photoshopped to get wireframe and shaded in same image...

Made another one.. this is a 4-pack box for disc launcher. Each magazine contain 11 discs that are 5cm radius and 1cm thick. The magazine + disc took 10 minutes and the box took 80 minutes to do. Ingame box model probably wouldn't have the insides modelled (no point hiding ~1000 polygons in it), but the magazines can appear as separate pickups.

Decided to go with something a little different, some Shurikens. I also made a small box to hold them in, even though in reality they would be put into a pouch.

I started making the Shurikens with a star spline, then used the edit spline modifier to add some details. Extruded and fleshed them out with editpoly then made the box with a cylinder, again using extrusions, bevels, and insets. The feather was made with a spline with was then extruded, in a similar fashion as the Shurikens.

That's about it, been a while since I did one of these.
