Hi all!

I bring my contribution to this comp with this robot that brings
you some relaxation after a painfull 3d modeling day...
You can see it's a harmless model unless he threatens you with slippers, or cigar !

It is a primitive based modeling, but it's the occlusion pass that worries me.
In conclusion, a good experience that I will repeat without hesitation

BEAR - Battlefield Extraction Assist Robot.

This guy is a real world robot being developed in the States for retrieving wounded soldiers. Its a real pity we were only allowed 2000 tris. I could barely add anything to this and all the entry's would have been so much cooler with an extra thousand or so tris!

Time taken: 60mins
Tri Count - 1976

This is my first project for Game Artist so any tips are very much welcome.

My robot is a Fire Fighters Assistant. When Fire Fighters need to go in a building they take this guy with em. Camera with multiple sensors and image settings on the front, exhaust ports on the bottom rear, ram below the camera to punch through walls or doors, water ports on both sides, and variable angled propeller blades.

Made in 3DS Max 9. Multiple objects made using cylinders and a sphere. Mostly extrusions and insets.

All in all a fun project. Can't wait for the next Speed Modeling challenge.
