Heres my entry, It's a bomb disposal robot used by police in the future
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 1996 Tris - took around 25 Minutes to model. First I created the wheels and tracks which I got inspiration from a tank, Then I did the body and the signs, then the arms. The signs on the back are for the police, the red one says "RUN!" and the green one says "ALL CLEAR" If the disposal bot can't diffuse the bomb, or it messes up the red one will spring up warning police to take cover! Here is my entry concept:
![]() forgot to draw the first aid kit in one of the sketches but it was more to show a function of the robot as to be an accurate drawing. Here is my Entry ![]() The concept of this came out while thinking of Wall-e with a combination of war, if a soldier loses his gun, or needs cover fire, could use a first aid pick me up or a couple fragmentation gernades (in extreme cases the launcher also) this battle droid could help soldiers low on supplies in the front lines of war by resupplying them or providing some automated cover fire for the soldiers in tough times. I hope you all like it can't wait to see all the entries ![]() |

Here's my entry, I took a different approach and modeled an existing robot rather than creating my own. I ran out of tris so I wasn't able to complete the roller wheel but I learned a lot this time around. I still suck at lighting though so my renders are seriously lacking!
M-O (Microbe Obliterator) from WALL-E ![]() Did everything separately all starting from a cube, first the body, then the head, then the arms and finally the roller which is simply a cylinder with no detail. Last edited by Wankel; 08-29-2008 at 12:37 AM. |

Anti-Grav Maintenance Bot:
![]() ![]() Name: David Simon Tri Count:1646 Time Taken: 60 minutes I started with the articulated arm, and extended it into a claw. Then I duplciated the arm and replaced the claw with some kind of laser cutter. The body began as a cone and was built with a lot of extruding. Finally the antennae and eyes. My first entry to one of these ![]() |

Here is my entry - robo-cleaner SS49.
![]() I started with a box (obviously), trying to make it look like vacuum cleaner on treads, then added arms. In order to bend the neck, I used non-linear deformer "bend" twice. In order to create threads I also used "bend" deformer on a sub-divided plane, duplicated it and linked to existing one. I guess, the biggest challenge for me was finding the correct values for deformers to work the way i intended SuperSlonik time - 70 min 1914 tris |
