SMC #48 - August 10 - August 17 - Save Point
Apologies for the late thread.
![]() For this challenge, you are required to model a prop which could be used ingame as a save point. It doesn't have to be a real life item, use your imagination. If anyone has any questions, feel free to PM me or post them here. |

Is there no poly count limit for this?

I would have to disagree as you could model a high poly version that could then be projected on to low poly mesh.
Meaning you could model either the high or the low poly and the would both be for games! This has been discussed before, that is why there is never normally a poly limit. |

![]() Ok here's mine. Journals have been used in games alot for save points haven't they? But I tried modeling a feather ink pen and wasted like 15 - 20 minutes on that before scrapping it. Texturing an alpha for a feather is much easier than modeling one lol. The book would be to much for game res and not high enough for a high poly model, so kinda caught in the middle. |
