The main thing it changes is that it tries to get you to think about polycount more. With having a restricted polygon budget, you have to know where to add detail. Also generally in games the bottom floor of a building is the most detailed, whereas with a RTS building you have to be concious of the whole buildings silhouette.

But yeah, generally just low poly

I dont know what you mean by architectural concepts, PM me what you have in mind and I'll let you know if you can do it or not

Anyway, great entries so far, everyone who's entered

Sorry Gephoria I was modelling the sphinx too

it is difficult to model a face w/o a nose, i'm probably just not used to it but made sure to include the hole left from whoever or whatever caused the nose to fall off.
for your information he hasn't got a beard neither; Napoleon is the one who shot them both

I think I don't have to upload a reference image too

I had a huge fight with my history teacher when I told him Napoleon's men shot them off with a cannon, he vigorously explained it was poor engineering. --> Egyptians = Poor Engineering?

More like Richard Simmons = That guy that promises you free money from the government that wears the question mark suit. No effin' way.

So I've thought of doing all these ideas, I'm waiting on the space needle, I wanted to do it, but I figure someone else will do it and make it a lot cooler; I'll just wait and see.

@ bun, nice model, I never thought of using polygon cruncher for this, I dont have it but I guess the multires modifier would do the same job. Cool stuff!

@ FabioPaiva your third entry is your best imo, probably because it has curves on it. Although they're all good ^_^

I have seen a number of people have give poly count instead of tri count, is this ok as even if you had 500 polys there is a good chance that it would be more than 1000 tris.
