Yeah i didnt really read the little note at the bottom but tried to pass it off as something
I think the idea of "Human hand only" is a little strict though seems like there really is only 1 end result that everyone is going to get

Everyone might well be making the same thing, but each entry so far is different, and each person has their own way of modeling, etc. I think it's a good learning experience - you can see how somebody else has approached the same task.

Hey Gameartists
I've done a lot of hands, so I was well rehearsed in this whole deal and have lots of good ref. 26 min modeling the lowpoly, and then 34 minutes on the sculpting. Used up all my time obviously, quite stoked I got it into an hour though. ![]() My workflow is the following: 1. Build basemesh with decent edgeflow, leave out the finer details like fingernails or skin folds as they dont matter yet. Mostly just extruding edges so I have control of topology. Done in modo 301, which is great for modeling. 2. Sculpt the rest in Zbrush and/or mudbox. Lots of round edged brushes for skin folds and veins etc. Trying to concentrate on the larger and mid level forms, rather than worrying about pores or getting the wrinkles perfect. Used my own hand heavily for reference as I often do, because I know it like the back of my... you know. Hope you like, I enjoyed it .Peace Note: Sorry about the image hosting, had to resort to imageshack. Last edited by Asmuel; 06-22-2008 at 09:20 AM. |
