hand

Hi this is my first time trying out speed modeling. I literally just finished and threw the images togither so thats why the final poster thingy looks a bit lame.

I didnt really use any reference just looked at my own hand, this is really cool, I really want to improve my modeling and this will defenitely helps.

So heres my entry it took 1hour and hi poly version has 20492 tris and lo poly has 1292.

cheers

That was really stressful I finished at 14:50 and didnt know how to attach pictures and had to render off the hand really quickly, what a noob i am lol

The knuckles are slightly ridiculous on your hand, particularly the middle finger's last joint, but kudos for the humor.

I went right to the bell with this 1! its a shame that i couldn't add all the stuff i really wanted to here is the final render, it is a fake human limb for war veterans, with a slight cartoony-steampunk esq. to it

and an enlarged version of the wireframe model

Hi guys this is my first post so hello! i loved the idea of speed modeling and thought i would give it a bash heres my first attempt. its actually a lot harder than i thought! Basic process of creating a box, then cutting faces and extruding/positioning verts. I then used the sculp tool to jsut try and thicken up the hand a little as i thought putting into Zbrush would take too much time. so here it is:

I may do another one thats a little more... creative.

Workflow:
-Started from a cube
-Modeled one finger then duplicated and resized for the rest. (saw on a video tutorial online)
-Shaped and moved vertices/edges to get the mass and shape of the hand.

I'm gonna have to disqualify this, sorry to be an arse about it, but the rules state human hands only.
