depends on the type of hand you do, I mean you could do a hand for a game which won't look fancy but i'm sure that it's not how good the model looks, it's how clean it is as well.

So provided you don't just do a quick smoothed hand, you'll probably do alright.

Does it have to be specifically a human hand ?

Yeah I was thinking maybe doing an alien hand or something cuz I can't do human hands at all, I don't know about robot hands though, because I think the point of this one was to work on doing something organic, but I don't know for sure.

Hi, I already did my first entry, perhaps I will do another one
I wanted to create my base mesh then import it in Mudbox or Zbrush but I didn't have the time...

It's already hard to get a nice base shape for me

As I told you I expected to add stiches and etc thanks ZBrush to the glove but didn't have the time unfortunately... Perhaps I'll do a second entry, don't know.

My workflow was very simple, I started with a box and bended it, I added some segments to the height of the boxe, for each finger in fact and same with the inch.
Then I created one finger and duplicated that one several times to create my hand.

At the end I selected the polies I need to extrude my glove and added some inset, finally I added a turbosmooth modifier.

Cool! good job Baida, the only thing that bothers me though is the palm of the hand, seems it a bit off to me, but then again, I don't know if I could model a hand very well in such time..@_@

For those wondering about doing hands other than human.

Maybe it would be ok to do alien hands as long as there are 4 fingers and a thumb. Of course, we'll need Craig to chime in and tell us yay or nay.

Yep, you are right, but time was over, same with the fingers they are not perfect at all but didn't have time to tweak it a bit more...

Sounds interesting, I might jump in. Jumbo exaggerated human hands would be ok right?
