What about laboratory/scientific instruments? (ex: microscope, bunson burner, etc)
Or medical instruments? (ex: stethoscope, etc)

Just throwing out ideas.

there was already a competition for telephones before. i liked hambone's idea about the lab equipment

my vote went to hollow, i thought his model turned out really clean and it is a pretty realistic design
