I usually use GI in Final Render (with nearly default settings) + one Direct Light above for the shadows and specular effect. All 4 small pics are simple viewport screenshots with default lighting. It's my default lighting scene for non-textured models=)
But the most simple way is to place skylight with shadows turned on (I prefer this rather than light tracer, despite longer render time). I did it in my previous entry in SMC#42. And one more little thing: I use geometrical background (mesh) with "curved" corner, like in classical studio photograph. |
