Didn't get a chance to complete, I spent to much time doing small details as I went instead of roughing out the full robot first. Other than his arms, he's missing some details on the body and in the engines and the back of the legs. Heres the reference image:

Started out with a spline for the toes and extruded that out and duplicated for 1st foot. Next, started with a cylinder for the foot and beveled and extruded until happy, linked toes and duplicated for other side. Used geospheres for the ball sockets and a sphere for the main body. Everything is basically a primitive converted into editable poly and cut/extruded into shape.

Wish I would have managed my time better, 100 minutes goes quick.
I love your render, really adds a lot of life to it. I probably would've switched sizes with that reference image though, cuz I missed your render the first time through.

Strange Idea I had. I honestly have no idea why.

Took 98 minutes.

Well i think the stranger the cooler so it definately works haha. The only thing that really jumps out at me is that it'd make more sense to have a little tick on the face of the clock for each hour, because you only have 8, other than that nice job, I'd say the most original idea I've seen yet.

Thanks, I took your advice and changed the post. Deep down I knew I shouldn't have left it like it was, glad you said something. Laziness may have been a factor,

Hi. Star Wars Pit droid here. 6454 tris pre-subdivision but it could be better since to be fast sometimes I forgot to lower down the number of edges on cilinders.
100 minutes modeling in Xsi 6.5 but probably even more time to gather references and try to understand them since I've found only low res and not so detailed images.
modeling workflow: create cilinder or cube. move, scale, freeze, move edge loops, vertexes, select and value crease edges, subdivide, refine. Repeat. move move move that time is ticking!!!
