Thanks for that Tiros. I did know that, and was planning on doing that but I'm so used to closing the mesh I just attached them and bridged the gaps.

What I did not know was that it saved triangles by doing the floating mesh.

I'm not really sure if there's any special kind of dctionary for those kindof term. I belive it's mainly made up by those who would have use of it, as saying "Floating msh" instead of "A model divided into several Elements".

And you're right.. might be good in case anyone did a tutorial like that... I guess I could use the things I've already written, re-write it and then make a article out of it

Details:

Nothing fancy, just used cylinders and boxes. Each string is a really long triangle. It's a banjo, for those that didn't know.

Nice banjo I like it. One more thing... because of too many people not following the rules about the "only one image" part that has both the wire and the shaded model I'll post only one image from now. So if you want the wires in the voting thread you'll have to replace one of the shaded model with a wire. If you're ok only with the shaded model that will do.
Again, I won't insist on the rules because it's not in my nature... but you get only one image in the voting thread so make it good
I'll close this comp in a few hours and start the voting thread so if anybody else has something to post do it fast If you're too late a new comp has already started
