Speed Modeling Competition Rules:

- You have 60 minutes to complete the piece. This is all for your own benefit, so if you're only 80% done when the 60 minutes come up, go ahead and post that.
- You must submit a 800x600 [or 600x800] image that contains a shaded model and a wire model preferably rendered with GI. For a tutorial about GI/clay renders for Max/Maya go here: Multi-Platform Clay Wip Renders

Add the following information on your entry image:
  • Your Name
  • Entry Name
  • Modeling Time
  • Triangle Count
- You must give us details on how you modeled it
- Textures are not allowed in the Speed Modeling Competition
- Multiple entries are allowed.

So lets start:

I haven't used any special technic, only extruded cylinders and boxes foreseen the spring at the front.
badly I'm very unhappy with the grip shape but the time was over.

Good luck to all other participants

Looks good man and the grip is not that bad. There's that diagonal loop that looks strange but the rest is interesting. I like it

Hey guys

Another speedmodeling contest
My entry: http://www.isoaker.com/Armoury/soake...akerID=cps1000

I didn't have time to get all the little details in, but I managed to make the most of it.
Just some balls and a the pentool-extrude methode.
And a boolean for the hole.
And then finishing off

cheers and good luck to all

Nice model. Just like warape you managed to get the main shape of the weapon. What I didn't mentioned then is that the models look optimized as well, and that's always good.

Nice job, guys. I like what has been posted so far. Andrei, you haven't made anything yet? You're usually the one submitting the minute after you make a new comp.

I started working on this last night at 23:20, and finished at 0:19. I was too tired to render (not really but my mum could have gotten seriously pissed off at me since I was staying up that late... again and I have exams the next four weeks.. ) so here it is.

I didn't really have any idea what to make (and no reference), and I wasn't really going for a real entry, but after a while I thought I could as well send it in.

Extrusion and loopcutting-based modeling, nothing fancy. Even those tubes were extruded

Nice model, I like it. I'm glad you decided to post it. I think the front looks great but the back is a little odd.

I will do that sometime this week... I don't always have a free weekend

nice guns so far.

I tried a second one and I like it much more than the first.
But decide by your own.

I extruded the frame from a box and than modified some cylinders.

I like this one more too It has a sexy design. My only small crit is that it looks hard to hold in the hand and fire. There's not a lot of space around the trigger and this one is also a little too high... but it might be just the angle Overall it looks very good.
