Sadly I missed this...but at least I have some commentary:
aeonbluestar: Nice model, but the wood grain and damage doesn't work. It looks like it is made of plasticine. Too round and too deep (the grain). Also some of the painted damage doesn't make sense and furthermore destroys the grain. dakkafex: I like the alternative design, but sadly it is lacking detail. Some sandstone normals (or similiar) and damage would be nice. Also the chains eat up too much polygons, considering their size and position. Planes with normals would suffice. mole420: On the surface a solid model and textures, but when looked at in detail it reveals some errors. The biggest of them is the giant horseshoe: The door wouldn't work like this. Secondly there is some geometry poking through the door, at least it looks that way in the wire shot. And the bars on the door and doorframe would not overlap iRL. Also the wood grain on the diagonal bar should really follow the longest side. Same for the vertical bars left and right of the door. In the end it's a tossup between aeonbluestar and mole420. I have to give it to aeonbluestar, since it would only take changes to the textures to fix, while mole420's model would also have to be fixed. (or I would, if the poll wasn't already closed ) |
