Definitely a bit of P90 in there...the Tevor I didn't know before (not really a gun-guy, but with a Cyberpunk Challenge I cannot resist )...a second inspiration was this one, for the angled magazine...regarding the sling I am also not really satisfied...I'll have to see if I find a better location once I modeled it...ambidexterity is definitely a goal and all switches, levers and other gizmos are present on both sides, including the case ejection (the small gray rectangle on the rear part of the gun). And if I have some polys left in the end, I'll add a suppressor and maybe some accessory for the rail on top...

@megalmn2000 - Oh yeah, man! I'm a huge fan of Section 8 weapons

@Piflik - Love the concept you have so far. Keep it up!

@gabman912 - That is one sexy concept, right there! Looks kind of like futuristic assembly-line MP5, for use against aliens, zombies, or robots. Maybe.... all three!

Hey, I just came across this handy index of cyberpunk weapon abbreviations and stuff I thought was cool. Figured it might help with the design process.

Glossary of Gun Terms for Cyberpunk

Keep rocking!

Actually, just double checking this but the brief states only Normal, Opacity, Glow & AO Maps.

So this means no Colour, Diffuse or Specular?

These modeling challenges are always without textures, since the winner will usually be chosen for a texturing challenge afterwards. Actually I am surprised to see a Glow Map amongst the allowed maps...but I guess you can't create a sci-fi weapon without glowy bits by definition

Ahhhhhhhh I like the thinking there makes sense.

I guess the glow map is to help promote the cyber punk theme.

Good thing about not texturing, more time in the budget for high res modeling

Yes, the glow map isn't a map usually allowed for these modeling competitions, but I thought it would add alot of flavor to these kinds of designs

@Defaultsound - Nice shape so far! Keep it up, mate
