In this case, I voted for Latka X-treme. The model appears to be the most detailed and well-executed.
General Feedback (take with general dose of salt): Latka X-treme: The only critique I have here is that it currently looks like the pole in the center wouldn't be enough to keep it from falling over, though it may have also been that way in the reference image. Everything else is well executed and looks great. Minsk: I like the concept. Your polygons are fairly well distributed, but your proportions appear to be off, especially on your character. Some of the polys in the hand may have been better used for other details. The dried squid also looks too thick. A few areas lack detail, such as the register, but I'd expect this has more to do with the time constraint than a lack of skill. dermaeher88: Your modeling is fine, but lacks detail. The umbrellas seem a bit short -- taller people would have to duck. All the normal maps are way too smooth and don't give any identity to their materials: concrete should be a little rough; fabric should have folds, creases, and other drapery detail; etc. crinoduro: First off, the presentation could stand to be better. Right now your model is hard to see, so it is difficult to critique. Your polygon distribution could use some improvement -- right now a disproportionate amount seems to be going to the squid sitting on the guy's head. Anwa: You have fairly nice modeling skills, and I'd like to see this finished in the future. The only critique I have is that his hands seem overly large in proportion to the rest of his body. velenosangue: Your modeling is fine but not great. You really need to work on finishing things up before deadlines hit. elecheadmatt: Your proportions and modeling look fine in general, but the main body of the model looks too smooth and lacks weathering. Wandering Sage: The main thing that stands out here is the blocky side wheel. Being a macro detail, it calls a lot of attention to itself. You should have made it 16-sided instead of 8-sided. There are a number of obvious places where you could have taken this detail from: the grill, the hotdogs, etc. The model also seems to suffer from a lack of reference. I don't see any temperature controls, for one thing. |

Hi velenosangue,
thanks for your critique, I appreciate it, will put more effort in shape of character in future. For the cashregister I had baroque ornaments in mind, also some more gaps and details would have worked fine with the normalmap. Blame the lack of time or discipline to finish it well. Voted for your model, cause idea is great and modeling is very good so far...a shame you didn't deliver in time. Latka X-treme, respect to your very clean and professional execution. |

Thanks velenosage! I appreciate your critiques, Iīm not sure if I post more details of the model, i think that many object will be more confused to see from far, Iīm going improve my work on the next. Thanks.
And Minsk, I love your work, and the details with the texture at the end. |

Thanks for the critique. I was planning on adding some secondary detail for the blocks and some other parts but was running out of time. Definitely something I'll keep in mind for future models though.
I mostly just wanted to give this challenge a go to work on something with a deadline for once. Sometimes I feel like it takes me ages to finish stuff because it's all personal stuff that I don't have to rush. |

@velenosangue: Thanks for the critique! I also voted on your model, cause I value props that tell a story. And yours is one of them - so I hope you get the time to finish it (with a completed texture, and such).
@Minsk: Thanks, and respect to you as well ![]() |

Thanks Latka
@Crino: I'm glad you like it, I like yours too. maybe next time you invest more time in conception, as your model was finished from nothing to complete in one day, correct me if I'm wrong...also Uv-mapping could need more effort...could turn awesome next time! |
