Thanks Polygobling for the explanation of the sizes, but I have another question, you guys recomend delete the faces that don´t see?, like the bottom of the tentacles of the octopus, or the bottom of the bottles, that give many faces for more objects or details.
And anwa Go on! another idea will be more funny this challenge. |

Hey guys, back again. I started off with this base mesh in Zbrush, which btw is not mine, but i've forgotten where i got it from,( i think its from gnomon) if anyone knows then please refersh my memeory for me.
![]() As always i'm working back to front, so high poly first, then low poly, so after about 3-4 hours of work i've managed to get to this, which i'm quite chuffed about actually, normally i really struggle with fabric and it takes me ages to figure it out even with tons of reference. Im gonna give him a vest or t-shirt or something, i was thinking of a string vest but i think its going to take too long plus i dont know how to go about it at the moment. If anyone knows how, then please leave a suggestion. ![]() What im going for is, (i once saw this in a travel show or something ages ago btw) a dude who walks around the beach selling drink from a tray hanging in front from his shoulders, and at the bottom of the tray theres ice which keeps the drinks cool, and the drinks ranged from canned drinks to entire coconuts! Leave me some feedback please, and see you in the morning!!! |

Anwa, looks like a great start, although he feels like he's out more out of street fighter than a beach scene
But with props and a vest etc it will probably feel more beach-y so it's all good. Nice start after just a couple of hours too, I hope you finish! |

Anwa, great model, but like Urgaffel says looks more like a fighter than a seller, well you have your own idea in your mind, i want to see another update
.Talking about updates here is the mine: ![]() I´m not sure if take out the inflatable whale, that model don´t like me, i don´t know, what do you say guys? Other thing the model have 6970 triangles, now for the unwrap, i´m never texturize my models, i´m just learning, so this will be hard for me. Well, see you later. Another thing, Anwa that not the free base mesh of pixologic for humanoids? Free human basement. Free ZBrush Tutorials. |

Awesome progress so far everyone!
![]() I'm unwrapping atm, but I dunno if I'm going to be ready with it by Monday, since there is a carnival-thing with lots of beer in my village, and - well - that makes me kinda busy ![]() Anyways, here's another WIP of my entry ![]() |

I made this sketch number of days ago, but didn’t start modeling till yesterday! Well see how far I can go. Meshes are roughed out now and a proportion looks per sketch. The model is about 3900 triangles now. At this point this can be unwrapped. By the way do I need to combine all the objects to create a single UV mesh? It is possible to share single UV image by multiple objects right? Once you make it a single object it gets messy you know.
Hummm, my png file got transformed into jpg when uploaded. How come? Last edited by ridix; 05-09-2010 at 08:39 AM. |
