![]() Found a reference image here. Early Cluster Bomb: Molotov’s Bread Basket Put the reference image on a plane in the BG. Started with a cylinder, modeled from there.

Ok, here goes my first SMC submission:
![]() I'm not sure why I thought up a dumb little fish that swims towards you and explodes, but well, there he is! ![]() Work flow: Created a sphere primitive and extruded the tail and bomb from there. The eyes were made from separate spheres. The head fin is an extruded spline. The bomb's light and wires are from cylinders. Help: So, I think this took me entirely too long for the result I got. More importantly, though, looking at its wire frame, it seems very inefficient. I'm noticing that everyone elses' polys look a lot "cleaner" and not as many. Does anyone have any advice on how to achieve that? Can anyone point me to some good modeling tutorials? Also, that head fin got somehow warped in my "welding" and "adjusting". Anyone have any thoughts on that part? Critiques are not just welcomed, they are strongly encouraged and needed! ![]() |

I made a second entry (my first was the microwave + rocket).
![]() It's a suicide bomber, explosive enough? ![]() (although it looks a bit like santa.. )Basically entirely poly editted cylinder. The bomb strips over his body and the wire connecting the suicide switch and the explosives are done with a loft. Hand grenade is a poly editted sphere. I wasn't quite finished yet, so had to wrap it up. Smoothing is a bit off and didnt add the grenade pin dangling from his thumb. As you can see in the wire I was gonna make the eyes part of the body (chamfered a vertex there), but well, ran out of time. Hope it's okay I made an explosive character. I gotta say, Titus I love the renderstyle of your entry! What renderer did you use? Makes me think of the Team Fortress 2 style . |

Hello!. This is my first time participating. Seen everyone and it was excellent.
Mine is a Holy Hand Grenade (ideal from Worm)(There's also another participant who did that but didn't know till about 10 mins ago haha.) The base is from Sphere and the Cross started from a box. All converted to edit poly. I played with Extrude and Bevel for both the Cross and the Base. |

![]() this is my first entry. enjoy! :: workflow :: modeled from a poly sphere with lots of cylinders combined with the main mesh. as usual, i threw a lattice on the final model and pushed/pulled for a bit of surface irregularity. rendered out a base blinn shader and an ambient occlusion render and composited them in photoshop.
