This is my first entry i hope you all like it
Its an rpg

Here is a bigger wire frame render

The main barrel is a cylinder with a few cuts and extrudes followed by a few bevels.
The eye piece is a cube that was beveled into itself a few times then a turbo smooth was applied to it.
The part leading up the the eyepiece is a cylinder that i bent a bit.
The trigger and the piece around the trigger are splines that i extruded.
The handle was box modeled and then i chamfered the edges to give a slight round look to it.
The second handle closer the the end of the RPG is just a box with more chamfered edges.
The rocket itself is just a cylinder with extrudes and bevels.

inspired by battlefield 2 c4 detonator i made one.

detonator is 606 tri's
c4 pack is 270 tri's
very basic shapes - wireframe attached

only took half an hour.

Classic time bomb

Hi all!
Heh i plan to make some of briefcase bomb, like in COD4 - but Addi ahead me and i decided to make Classic time bomb

Workflow:
1 Google some references or reference
2 And start to model the bomb, for wires/cables i use sweep and path deform modifiers, for speed up modeling time i use polyboost )
3 Some composition in Photoshop

Many thanks!

This is my explosive creation. Before some starts saying this isnt an explosive, let me tell you that it is. Those who dont care, skip to the next part with the explanation. Those who dont care about that either, check the pictures below.

The idea was to create something original as we could use our fantasy. So I was thinking, if you can put a fart on fire, enought of it would explode if the methane level and amount of air would be high enough. But nodody would produce that much and then I thought about a skunk and I looked a few thing up. The gas it produces is more explosive then methane. A fart contains methane, but the gas of the skunk is better then pure methane, so that would be ok. the amount goes up to a max of 15cc (not in one spray). Thats not enough top blow up a room. But to make methane explosive you need 5 - 15% in the air. But skunk gas is better, so a lower level will do. But lets say 5% and the skunk gives us 10cc, that means that with 200cc of air we can get an explosion with a single spark. Air is in the bag, the skunk does sprays in it and the flame will trigger the explosion. So it is an explosive device!

how it works

1: the skunk, 2: a bag, 3: candle, 4: poker, 5: lock, 6: device to create spark, 7: wick, 8: petrol

The candle is the timer. When lit, ropes will be burned over the flame. The first rope will activate what I call the poker. It pokes the skunk so that it does what its good at and fills the bag that is already filled with air so we get the explosive mixture. The second rope that will burn releases the tension on the lock that keeps the skunk in place (dont want to harm the creature) so it can get out. The last rope makes the spark device ( dont know the english name for it, welders use it to ignite there torch.) to create a spark and therefor put the wick putted in petrol on fire. The wick goes under the bag, so as soon as the flame burns a hole in the bag we get a bang.
If you want a bigger explosion you need several pokers...

It wont blow a hole in the world, but give you a big scare and if you stand to close some burning injuries.
I havent tested it, so if you want to try it, be careful and let me know if it works...

This one was fun, so many choices but I had to keep it old school.

Workflow -

Primitives (extrudes, curves, etc)
Shaders (coloring)
Photoshop (spice)

First time entering so here we go. Work flow consisted of starting with poly primitives and just working them till i was happy. A lot of extrude. Onces i was done just through a 1div smooth on it.

Well heres my entry.....

1. Started off with google images results on 'wmds and bombs'....hope isp doesnt think im a terrorist...
2. Found a cool image, so started modeling it.
3. Basic primitive shapes, torus, cubes, etc.
4. For wires i used a circle nurb and a drew out a curve, then extruded it using the surfaces menu.
5. Pretty much stuck to detail on the actual ref image. Didnt want to steer away too much from it, also under time constraint too.

Overall im happy with the model, of course texturing this would be exciting, although i never quite can get a good chrome shader in Maya....if anyone knows please let me know!

Heres final image:

All crits welcomed.

hello!!

I conceive it as a classic hand grenade for WWII first person shooter. I did not have much time to dig the idea anyway. I just choose this kind because I liked the "design" hihihi

By the way 3rdman your entry is great!!
